Tita Letty was a big part of my childhood. She has shown me and my siblings so much love and affection through years . I would never fever forget the moments we shared with her- those many times we watch her cook her Leche flan, or the several midnights we spent with her snacking on our favorite siopao and those days she taught us our Filipino homework.

Ate Del and Kuya Edward thank you for sharing your Mommy Letty with us and for showing us kindness and love too. We will never forget her and we will always be grateful for her.

Tita, we are praying for you and we will always remember you. I'm happy you're now resting with our Lord.

Prayers and condolences from Batch '72

I am Amor Palma Espiritu from Kawit.  I am so sad upon receiving news of the passing of  my dear friend, Letty. She was my best friend when I was still in PI especially  during our college years at the Lyceum of the PI. Lots  of 
good and few bad memories were shared  together. We strolled the green path daily from the college to the bus station  at Lawton. We  struggled navigating the crowded lines to ride the only new or  decent looking Saulog bus with curtains and bustling music.  There were plenty of times, after school , when we  walked  on the bridge by Feati University to go to Avenida or Santa Cruz to eat or shop.  Our days were full of laughter, giggles, and stories. Quiet times were also spent when we were in the library to study or do some research  projects.  While we focused on our studies, we also visited different places together around Manila City. There were plenty of times  on  my way to  our school, I stopped at her place at Zapote to pick her up.  We went to Odeon to watch the movies. It was fun because  we proceeded to eat in the restaurant before going  to school. I have so much fond memories with her. Letty was a simple,gentle and loving 
friend. I regret very much when I was not able to communicate with her when I left the Philippines on 1967. I spoke to her very shortly when she came to California, but I could not call her again because I lost her number. 
Letty, our friendship has always been in my heart.  I really had  good times during our college years.  Condolences to the Gorospe family.  I will not forget Estoy, your husband too.
May God grace you his eternal light, peace and love. Rest in peace, my good friend, Letty.

With my deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved family of Ma'm Letty Gorospe. I will treasure in my heart all the memories of you in my high school days being You as my favorite mentor in Pilipino subject. Thank you so much Ma'm for a sharing your knowledge and expertise in the field of teaching. You made me learned a lot in Pilipino. I will keep on praying for your eternal rest with our God. 

One of my biggest highlights of my journey in the US  was to meet up Mam Letty back in 2016.. she’s our high school librarian (30yrs ago) she never failed my with all the good  advices.. i will be forever be miss her .. 

I know your now in a good place..no more pain and suffering..we will miss you Mother Dear...I have treated you as my Nanay kya nga I often called you Mother Earth ,   especially kpag binibisita kita sa hosp at sa Facility..Napapasmile kita whenever I asked you..How are you my Mother Earth?? I'm gonna you Nay ! 

Your recently birthday celebration was very memorable to you...I know deep inside you mas gusto mong sa Philippines mag celebrate..pero we know na napasaya ka din coz you know we're always there for you ....

We will remember your smile to us everytime you see us coming in your home..Your always open the door on us kahit na manggugulo lang kami o makikikain, ihahain mo lahat sa mesa..

We love you Mother...you will be miss and always stay in our heart..❤️ ❤️ 

I often think about the times you spent for us together and you never forget to save me with your amazing meals "ginataang bilo bilo"  and arroz caldo..

A Letter to My Mommy

It’s been 2 weeks. And I still cannot believe you are gone. The memories I have of you are still fresh and alive. I still see your smiling face when I close my eyes, I can still hear your voice calling me “Del!”, I can still feel your presence. I don’t really know how I can go on knowing you won’t be here when I go home. And that I won’t hear your voice anymore. It is so hard to accept the truth but I have to be strong, because you are in a better place now. No more pains and sufferings. It is true when they say, do everything you can, show all the love & care, say “I love you”, “I miss you”, whenever you can, to your loved one because time will come, and they won’t be here anymore. It will be too late. Heaven is so lucky to have you, Mommy Lety Gorospe. I know you are watching us from above. You are an angel. You may be gone but never forgotten. You are always in our hearts. Just like what I told you during the last few days at the hospital, I will still call for you when I am happy, sad, depressed or troubled. I will still share and dedicate my success and accomplishments to you. You are always in my heart. I miss you so much, Mommy. I love you very much!
