She was born to the late Mr. Vu Van Mai and Mrs. Vu Thi Suy at Bui Chu, Viet Nam on March 31, 1953. On April 12, 1975, Mary Nghia married the love of her life, Mr. Michael Tran Van Vien. They have three children. In 1989, Mary and her family immigrated to United States and settled in Milpitas, California ever since. She was a lifelong member of St. John The Baptist Catholic Church in Milpitas.
Following her parents' examples of loving God first and neighbors, Mary had helped many. She always put other people's needs before her own.
In a quiet way not seeking recognition, her charity works were known only to God and her benefactors. For Mary, her family, her brothers and sister are her life, she would do anything for them. We are eternally grateful to God for having called Mary, Chi Nghia, our beloved sister.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, her three children, Vicky, Vu, Van, her three grandchildren, Nikki, Katelynn, Dominic, and her seven siblings, Mai, Thao, Nghi, Son, Thuy, Hoa and Dao.
