

Moises Duria Oribello Sr. was born in Pugo, La Union, Philippines on February 22, 1928. He was the son of Isidro Oribello and Paulina Oribello. He was the fourth child of three brothers and two sisters. He attended and graduated valedictorian in high school at La Union Institute of Agoo. After high school, he went to college in Bayambang, Pangasinan Normal School as a scholar and received his Elementary Teacher Certificate. During this time he married his high school sweetheart, Visitacion
Jaravata Romero on June 14, 1950. After the marriage, he moved to Cotabato, Mindanao to teach as an elementary school teacher in Libungan, Midsayap. After six years in Mindanao, he moved back to Agoo, La Union. While teaching, he pursued his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Masteral Degree of Arts at Congress College. He finally retired from his love of education as a principal in elementary and high school.
In 1978, he came to United States of America and worked at Hewlett Packard for 15 years. He also petitioned his entire family to live with him in the states. Moises Duria Oribello Sr. was born a Protestant. He was a strong believer of God and His words and he practiced what he preached. Though he lived a very simple life, the legacy and wisdom he imparted to the entire family will be cherished and pass to the family’s next generation. He and his wife sacrificed and worked hard to send all his children to college because he always believed that education is the tool to a better life. He will be remembered as a selfless, caring and loving husband and father.
Moises Duria Oribello Sr. is survived by his wife Visitacion, his six children, Moises Jr, Rosviline, Jocelyn, Naomi Ruth, Johannes, Michael, his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, twenty two grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
