“Primo” Camacho Espitia died on January 18, 2015 at the age of 88, while living in Cupertino, CA. He is survived by his former spouse Herlinda Espitia, six sons Eduardo (wife Yvonne), Ernesto (Wife Adele), Alejo wife (Karen), Primitivo Jr. (Wife Marlene), Jesus (wife Danette) and Eusebio, 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Roberto.
Primo immigrated to the United States from Mexico in 1944. In 1953 Primo met his wife Herlinda Castro at a dance held in the Civic Auditorium in San Jose. They were married six months later and started a family. Primo and Herlinda raised their seven sons in Milpitas, CA. Primo worked at Southern Pacific railroad for 30 years until he retired at the age of 64. Primo and Herlinda were also charter members of Sociedad Progresista Mexicana Logia 67, since 1968. Primo was a proud man that instilled a strong work ethic in his sons; hard work and his love of family (and baseball) is his legacy to his sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
