Robert John B. Vicente

John was born in San Pablo, Laguna Philippines to Roberto Vicente and Carolina Batenga Vicente on May 5, 1976. He lived in Navotas, Manila and went to school in Notre Dame until the family migrated to San Jose, CA in 1990. He attended Yerba Buena High School and graduated from Christian Community Academy. Known as RJ, he last worked at Applied Materials before he was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in May 2023.

John is survived by his domestic partner, Araceli Batuhan, son Anthony John Vicente, siblings Robert Raymund, Robert Paul, Robert Khaled Vicente, Carla Regina Blanco, as well as his Mother Carolina Vicente. He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Vicente, who died on December 1, 2007.

John enjoyed food, family gatherings, basketball and loved to make people laugh. He also loved to entertain all those around him and would plan a surprise birthday party for himself every year.

John’s family would like to invite you to celebrate his life on April 13, 2024, viewing time at 3:00pm-5:00pm, celebration of life service at 5:00pm-7:00pm at Lima Milpitas-Fremont Mortuary, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd., Fremont, CA 95639. We will be granting John’s wish to be cremated on April 14, 2024, funeral service with mass at 10am, cremation at 11am.
