After fighting a long, courageous battle against cancer, Una Brown passed away in her sleep on March 27. She was never alone and she died at home in the company of her family just as she had wished to leave this world.
Some of her last words were of how much she was looking forward to seeing her late son, Jamie.
Una is survived by her daughter, Julie, her son, Caleb and her “adopted” daughter, Kathy. She also leaves behind two granddaughters, Sharon and Michelle, a grandson, Aidan and five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Shelbie, Delaney, Gavin and Dorian.
Born in Indiana, Una was a California resident for the last 52 years. She worked in the Electronics Industry for nearly 50 years at RCA, Fairchild and National Semiconductor and retired from a successful career as IC Mask Design Manager at Linear Technology Corp. She was known for her “tough but fair” management style. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family, friends and co-workers are invited to attend Funeral Services on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Lima Family Mortuary, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA.
Per Una’s request, a private, family-only burial service will be held immediately after the public services.
