Vito Santoro was born on September 4, 1922 to Guesippe Santoro and Teresina Delgaldo in New York. In his teens he lived in
Brooklyn N.Y. and then moved to New Jersey in early twenties. There he met Frances Marinaro his wife for over almost 65 years. In 1962 Vito moved to Santa Clara CA to join his family who had been living there for a year. He worked as a produce manager until he retired at the age of 65.
Vito, who was called Vic by his friends and family was a WWII Veteran where he served as a cook in Germany and was honorably discharged. He loved Big Band music particulary Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack and his favorite baseball team the Dodgers. At 80 years old he was diagnosed with Alzheimers and was cared for by his loving wife, children, and some amazing caretakers until his death in his home on August 6, 2018.
He was a wonderful husband, a loving father of 2, grandfather of 6 and great grandfather of 3. He leaves behind his two children Joyce McCulloch and Richard Santoro, grandchildren Roselyn, Rina, Teressa, Reid and Evan and great grandchildren Reagan, Jude and Taylor. Vito was loved by everyone and we will miss him dearly.
