

A much-loved father, son, brother, and uncle, Bill Olson, 61, of Milpitas, California, passed away at his home October 14th, 2012. He had bravely confronted and fought cancer. He was born December 11, 1950 in Yankton, South Dakota, and resided in Milpitas, California for the past 55 years. He graduated from Samuel Ayer High School in 1969. Billy was borne into the US Marines in 1970 and served until 1973 receiving an Honorable Discharge.
Billy was a very humble yet outgoing person with a larger than life sense of humor. He was also a great provider who looked out for his entire family. Billy enjoyed gambling and most sports including football, baseball, wallyball, skiing, softball, and bowling. But most of all Billy truly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter Nicole Olson; son Matthew Olson and wife Jane Kim; sister Nancy, brother Tom, and sister Patricia and husband Dan. His nephews; Peter, Brandon, Larry, and Justin. Nieces; Julie, Natasha, Jennifer and Amanda. Grandnieces; Shilynne, Karina, Willa, and Julieanne. Grandnephews; Aiden, Ryan, and Daniel. He was proceeded in death by his father Wally, mother Elsie, brother James and brother in law James.
Services will be held Saturday, October 27th, 2012, at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, 48800 Warm Springs Blvd, Fremont, CA 94539 (408)263-2868. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., the memorial service at noon, followed by the burial. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to an organization of your choice.
