He was born on February 2, 1954 in Angola, Indiana to the late Ora Eugene and Marion (Evans) Van Wagner.
Gale graduated from Prairie Heights High School in 1972.
He was a mechanic and concrete worker. Gale enjoyed riding his Harley, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a brother, Gary (Maggie) Van Wagner of Orlando, Florida, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Van Wagner.
Following his wishes private burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana.
