He was born on July 27, 1950 in Sturgis, Michigan .
Gary graduated from Hamilton High School in 1968, and also attended Metz and Fremont Schools.
He served in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War.
Gary worked for Vestil Manufacturing for 18 1/2 years.
He married Faith E. Shaw on December 1, 1973 in Coldwater, Michigan. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2011.
Survivors include a son, William Grant of Fremont, Indiana, grandchildren, Michael and Jonathon, four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Sharon (Charles) Moore of Angola, Indiana.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Grant and Valeire (Fiser) Cary, and a son, Andrew Grant.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at Metz Cemetery at 11 am Friday, July 28, 2023.
Memorial contributions may be given to Heart To Heart Hospice.
