Glen Whitaker

Mr. Whitaker was born February 4, 1951, at Wayland, Michigan, the son of Ellis Whitaker and Nora (Davis) Wolford, his parents preceded him in death.

Mr. Whitaker was retired from the Vestil Corporation, Angola, Indiana.

Glen grew up in Montgomery, Michigan, and later moved to Coldwater, Michigan, and also lived in Angola, Indiana, before moving to Fremont. His hobbies included camping and fishing, spending time at Pokagon State Park, and being outdoors, and he enjoyed working on cars.

He is survived by his son, Matthew H. Whitaker of Gresham, Oregon, and one brother, Paul Whitaker of Pleasant Lake, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Whitaker and Nora (Davis) Wolford, four sisters, Berna Dean Mulligan, Phyllis "Jeanie" Simcox, Lois Whitaker, and Joyce Whitaker, and two brothers, Vallis Whitaker and Phillip Whitaker.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm until 3 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

A private family service will be held at a later time.

Memorials are requested in care of the family.
