

He was born on November 18, 1948 in Garrett, Indiana to Wendell “Dick” and Ruth L. (Ernsberger) VanWagner, they both preceded him in death.
He was employed at VanWagner's Superette Supermarket, and at Camshaft, both of Orland, Indiana, and for the Town of Orland, and the Indiana Toll Road.
He was a 1967 graduate of Prairie Heights High School. He attended Tri-State University and Manchester College, where he earned a BS in chemistry. He attended the Orland United Methodist Church. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and wood working. He enjoyed spending with time his family. He was a great son and brother.
Survivors include two sisters; Jill and Ron McNamee, JoAnn and Rod Lewis, both from Orland, Indiana, five nieces: Meagan and Tyler Fry, Mallory and Matthew Grossman, Erica Lewis, Erin and Andy Harris, Laura Lewis and seven grand nephews and nieces.
Private family graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Orland, Indiana, at a later date.
Memorials are to the Orland United Methodist Church.
