Jean Marie Wells

She was a lifetime Steuben County resident. She enjoyed cooking, writing poetry, reading, and her family and friends.

Ms. Wells retired from Scott’s Food Store in Angola, and had worked for several area restaurants, including as manager of Char Boy in Fremont. She had also worked at The Family Affair, TD’s and Bledsoe’s Beach, Lake James.

She attended Orland School and graduated from Fremont High School in 1966. She had also attended Olivet College, Olivet, Mich.

Ms. Wells was a member of the Nevada Mills United Methodist Church and the Orland American Auxiliary.

She was born Sept. 8, 1948 ,at Angola to Franz F. and Claramae (Wolf) Wells. They preceded her in death.

Surviving are a sister, Kay and Joseph Renowden of Jupiter, Fla.; a brother, Stephen Wells of Jimmerson Lake, Fremont; two aunts; six nieces and nephews; and five great-nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Sue Wells; and a sister-in-law, Rita Wells.

Memorial services at noon Thursday at Nevada Mills United Methodist Church, 4710 Bachelor Road, Angola with the Rev. Duane Stidham officiating.

A private burial will take place at Jamestown Cemetery at Fremont
