John L. Zimmerman

John was born on December 19, 1933 in Inkster, Michigan the son of Lucien John and Ruth Carolyn (Moughton) Zimmerman, they preceded him in death.

He graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in Wyandotte, Michigan.

He was a supervisor for the Coldwater Regional Center, and later transferred to the center in Mt. Pleasant, where he later retired. He also had worked for Walmart in Big Rapids, Michigan.

He married Norma J. Davis on March 5, 1960 in Marcellus, Michigan.

His hobbies included fishing, gardening, traveling, and family.

Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Zimmerman of Fremont, Indiana, his sons, Dennis Zimmerman of Hudson, Indiana, and Jon Zimmerman of Angola, Indiana, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Andrea Zimmerman of Taylor, Michigan, and Mary Ann Baker of Boyne City, Michigan.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marie Louise Berrier on December 28, 2015, and a brother, Dale Zimmerman.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 am Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Coldwater Township Hall, 619 Sprague Road, Coldwater, Michigan, with Pastor Paul Schneider officiating.

Memorials are requested to the family.
