Judith A. Snyder

Judith A. Snyder, age 74, of Clear Lake, Indiana, and formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, went home to the Lord after a courageous year-long battle with cancer while surrounded by family on Monday, September 3, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 30, 1938, in Elwood, Indiana, to Herman L. and Clara Nevada (Lock) McMinds.

She was a homemaker and was a retired insurance agent at Lupke Rice Insurance Agency.

Judy and her husband, Bruce, loved to travel with family and friends. Judy also loved being at the lake especially Wednesday afternoon’s at the Island.

She was so appreciative of all of the support and love from all her friends. Her family was comforted in knowing that so many people were there to support her.

Judy was a member the Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Kappa Delta Sorority, Junior League of Fort Wayne, Clear Lake Yacht Club, and the Bridge Group, which has been meeting continuous since 1964

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Snyder of Clear Lake at Fremont, Ind.; one daughter, Elizabeth Snyder of Edinburgh, Ind.; three sons: Bruce Jr. and Jeanna Snyder of Carmel, Ind., David and Brenda Snyder of Wichita, Kan., and Gregory and Katheryn Snyder of Sylvania, Ohio; her grandchildren, Brittany and Christopher Schoen, Alexandra VanGorden, Danielle VanGorden, Kathleen VanGorden, Zachary Snyder, Nathaniel Snyder, Heather Snyder, Boston Snyder, Alexander Snyder and Anna Snyder; and one sister, Elsie Hartley of Rockledge, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Katharan Ruth Lennen, Mary Ann Yost, Clara Infanger, Esther Skinner

Visitation will be from 4 -8 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 7, 2012, at Clear Lake Lutheran Church, 270 Outer Drive, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Tim Miller officiating.

Burial services will be held at a later date at Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery, Fremont, Ind.

Memorials are to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana, American Cancer Society, or Simon Cancer Center at Indiana University Health.
