

Mary raised her three children on the family farm north of Fremont. In later years she enjoyed selling Avon.
She was a member of Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, Fremont, and a longtime member of the Angola Moose Lodge, and held many offices. Mary also bowled with the “Dick's Chick” team all over the U.S.
She was born in Adams County, Ind., on May 15, 1915 to Ray and Cecil (Byer) Dunifon. They preceded her in death. She was married to Thomas Hook in 1938 in Van Wert, Ohio. He preceded her in death on Jan. 30, 1978. Later she married William Geary at Clear Lake Lutheran Church in 1996 when they were both 80 years old. He preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 2005.
Surviving are: a daughter, Sherry and Phil Meyers, Angola; a son, Dennis and Joyce Hook, Montgomery, Mich.; a son-in-law, John Prell, Crest Hill, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husbands and parents, were: a daughter, Lynn Marie Prell; a brother, Vern Dunifon; a granddaughter, Abra McClelland; and a nephew, Don Dunifon.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Clear Lake Lutheran Church, 270 Outer Drive, Clear Lake, Fremont, with Rev. Tim Miller and Father Philip Schneider officiating. Burial will be in Clear Lake Lutheran Cemetery, Clear Lake, Fremont.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.Additionally 1 hour of visitation prior to the service at the church Wednesday 10 am until 11 am
Memorials are to the Clear Lake Lutheran Church.
