

Lake, Ind., died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort
Wayne, Indiana.
She was born on August 31, 1931, in River Rouge, Mich., to Harry John
Balmes and Ada May (Kelsey). She lived in Hillsdale County, Mich.,
Convoy, Ohio, and Clear Lake, Indiana.
She was a member of the Clear Lake Lutheran Church, the American
Legion of Fremont, Ind., was a charter member of UAW 1344, The
Daughters of the American Revolution, and Descendants of Valley Forge.
She volunteered at Cameron Memorial Community Hospital and for the
American Red Cross.
Mrs. Densel was also a charter member of the Van Wert Ohio Civic
Theater, the Van Wert Wasenburg Art Club and the Japomica Garden Club.
She retired from the Aro Corp. in Angola, Ind., after 30 years.
She enjoyed the arts through painting, pottery, jewelry making and
quilting, but found the greatest reward making hand-designed hooked
rugs.
Whether you knew her a day, a year or a lifetime she would leave an
impression, not only with her demeanor and her wit but generous spirit
and engaging conversation. She was a loving, generous mother,
grandmother, a true loyal friend and creative soul who will be dearly
missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Donald, a
daughter Denise, one brother Louis, two sisters Marie and Eunice, and
her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Dee Marie Billings and her husband
Tom of Clear Lake, Ind.; two sons, Reed Densel and his wife Karen of
Dearborn, Mich., and Frank C. Densel and his wife Dee of Convoy, Ohio;
seven grandchildren, Kelsey Frasier, Chase and Alicia Billings, Brock,
Dale, Leslie, and Derek Densel; her consort of several years, Charles
D. Hall of Angola, Ind., two sisters, Jean Proctor and Mary Hess; and
one great-grandson, Lennon Michael.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, at the
Clear Lake Lutheran Church, 270 Outer Drive, Clear Lake, Fremont,
Ind., with the Rev. Timothy Miller officiating. There will be one hour
of visitation prior to the services from 1-2 p.m. Monday at the church.
