Robert Peter Sanders

Robert Peter Sanders November 20, 1936 - March 23, 2021 On March 23, 2021, Bob Sanders of Camden, Michigan (formerly of Toledo, Ohio), stepped into the arms of Jesus and was reunited with Barbara, his bride of 62 years. Also attending the Heavenly reunion were his parents Peter Samuel Sanders and Gladys K. Bunde Sanders, son-in-law John Hutchinson, nephew Ronald Sanders, Jr., numerous family members, and countless friends. His family was priveleged to surround him with their love and support until the reunion began. Bob was a skilled tool and die maker having retired from Hillsdale Tool. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, woodworking, hanging out at the Pioneer Scout Reservation, and endlessly joking and story telling. There is no doubt that he is thrilled to have a new audience for his stories! Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Ronald (Connie) Sanders of Lambertville, Michigan, daughter Marianne Hutchinson of Fremont, Indiana, daughter Robin (Steve) Cherkas of Candler, North Carolina, son Mark (Stephanie) of Warren, Michigan, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and the most loving extended family and friends that a man could ever be blessed to have. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and appreciation to Country Living of Hillsdale, Michigan for providing exemplary care to Bob as well as his family and friends, and to Elara Caring who provided comfort to Bob and his family. Following his wishes there will be no services. Burial will take place at Maplewood Cemetery, Toledo, Ohio. Memorial donations in his memory may be directed to Country Living, Hillsdale, Michigan.
