Ron was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 8, 1954 to Amleto and Mary (Kober) Lanzon.
He served in the United States Army, taking his basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. He received special training in photography during his time served.
Ron worked for Dumor Water Specialists for the past 19 years and served as the manager for the Angola Store. Before that, Ron was a route driver for Schwann's in Elkhart, an assistant Manager at Wire Design, Inc., Elkhart and plant Manager for Michigan Wiring, Inc. in Michigan.
Ron was a avid NASCAR fan, loved the Moody Blues and anything to do with space. On any given night, he could tell you where the International Space Station was and when we could expect to view it from our back yard. Ron was a good carpenter and was constantly planning or working on the "next project" for the house.
He loved all animals, especially dogs. He always had treats for them at the Dumor store and knew them by name. His favorite dog, of course, was his GSD, Chloe. He would apologize for "cheating on her" with the customer dogs.
In 2001, Ron accepted Jesus his Savior. He always said that he hoped people could feel God's love through the way he treated them.
He married Lois J. (Smith) on June 26, 2006, she survives in Fremont, Indiana, also surviving are his son, Daryl (Brittany) Lanzon of Michigan, and their child, Averie, a daughter, Shannon Eickhoff of Michigan, and her children, Brandon and Evan, also surviving are step-children, Robert (Xiaoxiao) Smith of Georgia, Kelly (Justin) Cooper of Louisville, Kentucky, Andrew Smith of Louisville, Kentucky, and Matthew Smith of Warsaw, Indiana, step-grandchildren, Dreyke, Rhiannon, Micah, Liberty, Kaedon, Alannah, and Ezekiel, and fur babies, Chloe Rae Grace, Savannah, and Milana.
