Ruth Doreen Heinzelman

Ruth “Doreen” Forte Heinzelman, age 94, of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Seasons Homecare, Warsaw, Indiana. Doreen was born on February 21, 1924, in Corning, Kansas, the daughter of Lewis Elmer and Florence Esther (Sansom) Covert, they preceded her in death. She married Anthony Victor Forte, he preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Arthur W. Heinzelman, on December 27, 1980, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he preceded her in death on December 30, 2017. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana. Survivors include her children, Richard (Mary) Forte of Jimmerson Lake, Fremont, Indiana, Joseph (Connie) Forte of Rochester, Indiana, Teresa (Thomas) Riethmiller of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Frederick (Susan) Forte of Snow Lake, Fremont, Indiana, and John Forte of Mishawaka, Indiana, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by 12 brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 am Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Beams Funeral Home, 200 West Toledo Street, Fremont, Indiana, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating. There will also be one hour of calling prior to the memorial service at the funeral home, from 10 am until 11 am. Immediately following the memorial service there will be a reception held at Caruso’s Restaurant, 2435 N 200 W, Angola, Indiana. Burial will be held at a later time at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorial donations in her memory are requested to Rise, Inc., 1600 Wohlert Street, Angola, Indiana 46703.
