She was born on January 11, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to John Matthew and Amelia (LaPage) Brenton.
Sharon enjoyed knitting, doing crafts, and playing Bingo. She was able to play Bingo the last week prior to her passing.
Survivors include her daughter, Shelly Scholtus of Chesterfield, Michigan, a grand-daughter, Bailey (Christopher) Fisher of Sterling Heights, Michigan, three great-grandchildren, Lance, Tory, and Leland, and a sister, Rinda Brenton of Royal Oak, Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Darrin O’Brien, a grand-daughter, Sarah Scholtus, two brothers, Fred LaPage, and Michael Brenton, and her best friend, Lois Carter.
Following her wishes cremation will take place, services will be held at a later time.
Burial will be at Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak, Michigan.
