Stephen L. Angel

He was born on January 8, 1944 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Louis and Irene (Pheifer) Angel.

Steve graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School, Toledo, Ohio in 1962.

He married Barbara Szymanowski on May 13, 1967 in Toledo, Ohio. She preceded him in death on January 30, 2016.

Steve was a longtime member of St. Paul Catholic Chapel, Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana. He also was instrumental with starting the Church Boosters, providing spiritual and family gatherings to enhance the Parish life.

He enjoyed the Lake, and loved fishing, hunting and taking pontoon rides.

Survivors include a sister, Sister Marilyn Ann Angel, S.N.D. of Norwalk, Ohio, a brother, Thomas (Joy) Angel of Toledo, Ohio, nephews, Bradley (Mattie) Angel of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Brian Angel of Toledo, Ohio.

Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. Paul Catholic Chapel, Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am Monday, January 12, 2026 at St. Paul Catholic Chapel, 8780 E 700 N, Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana. Father Osman Ramos will be the Officiant.

Burial will be at the Ray-Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be given in care of the family.
