

He was born February 13, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Anthony and Helen (Sosnowski) Nowakowski.
Tom graduated from Detroit Cathedral High School in 1951. He later graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
After college he worked as an accountant for LTV Steel, he also worked for Chrysler Motors and later worked as an independent real estate manager.
In retirement he enjoyed spending time in Palmetto Palms, Florida, as well as pursuing his passions in fishing at Clear Lake, hunting, and gardening, and many sports including bowling, golf, ping pong, and shuffleboard.
Tom married Janice Luepke on June 26, 1982 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Nowakowski of Clear Lake, Fremont, Indiana, children, Brian Nowakowski (Angie), Amy Barrett (Tom), Leanne Oberman (Tommy), Joseph Nowakowski (Deanna), Rebecca Cobb, Kathryn DiMeglio (Kevin), Colleen Mattia, grandchildren, Megan McInnis (Jason), Brandon Nowakowski, Katelyn Musa (Ahmad), Patrick Oberman, Shannon Schultz (Bryan), Adam Nowakowski, Jessie Cobb, Miranda Oberman, Daniel Oberman, Anthony DiMeglio, Declan Nowakowski, James Oberman, Cadence Nowakowski, Caiden DiMeglio, a great-grandson, Bennett McInnis, sisters, Agnes Bawol, Marie Price and Marilyn Sustrich and his first wife, Carolyn Baird.
He was also preceded in death by his twin-brother, Christopher Anthony Nowakowski and a grand-daughter, Ashley Kirsten Mattia.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
Memorial contributions in his memory may be directed to Peace Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Association.
