

She was born on July 23, 1946 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Francis Paul and Lorraine Alberta (Baney) Carpentier.
She was very proud of her native heritage, she enjoyed doing crochet, loved water, cooking, gardening, her plants and flowers and playing solitaire. Yvonne was a true free spirit and was a rebel from an early age. She was a member of the Sault Ste Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Yvonne worked for Meijer in Battle Creek, Michigan for 12 years, and also was a former foster parent.
Survivors include sons, Paul (Michele) Jones of Angola, Indiana, Jerome Jones, Jr. of Jackson, Michigan, special sons, Kevin Harris of Athens, Michigan and Leonardo Fields of Battle Creek, Michigan, grandchildren, Michael Willavize, Michele Millsap, Denise Edwards, Patrice Edwards, JD Millsap, Joshua Horvat (Millsap), Antonio Edwards and Denisha Paskell, a brother, Paul Francis Carpentier of Kinchloe, Michigan, sister Lorraine Carpentier of Bellevue, Michigan, and special great-grandchildren, Martez Miller, Ioanna Millsap, Zoey Millsap, Jay”Veon Coleman, Oliver Harvat and Briella Millsap, and had many more great-grandchildren, and had many nieces and nephews.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later. She was a very much loved and will be missed by many.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
