
Anna Lee was born April 28, 1925, in Fremont to the late John and Elenor (Rimelspach) Held. She graduated from Ross High School in 1943 and later married Santo (Sandy) Messina April 2, 1945 in Fremont, Ohio. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Ballville Township Voluntary Fire Department Women's Auxillary. She was an avid fan of both the Ross Little Giants and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Anna Lee was a great cook and enjoyed decorating for the holidays. She also loved to sing and dance, often dancing with Sandy and the rest of the kids after Sunday mass. As a loving homemaker for her family, she took great pride in instilling faith and family tradition into her family's lives.
She is survived by her children, Steve of Lorain, Mike (Arlene)of Bonita Springs, FL, Peggy (John) Sell of Willard, Tom of Fremont, Cathy (Kevin) Adams of Fremont, Mary Ann (Tim) Reser of Fremont, Jim of Bettsville; fifteen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Santo.
Calling hours will be Saturday, May 28 from 5-8 p.m. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 South Arch St., Fremont. A memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. David Bruning and Msgr. Robert Sell officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
