

Charles Edward Starks Sr., “Big Charles” 61, of Fremont died Monday evening December 23, 2013. He was born July 12, 1952 in Clarksville, MS the son of Jeff and Alice (James) Starks. In November 1969 Charles enlisted in the United States Army where he obtained the National Defense Service Medal while serving in Germany. He was honorably discharged on February 27, 1972. Charles retired in 1996 from Green Bay Packaging. He attended Heritage Church, loved the Cleveland Browns and was a diehard Ohio State fan. Charles loved spending time with his family especially his children and grandchildren.
Surviving is his wife Eloise Starks of Fremont; sons: Jeremy Kiser of Chicago IL., Julian Kiser of Fremont, Charles Jr. Starks of Fremont, and Tyson Johnson of Fremont; OH, daughter, Erica (Joe) Ramsey of Fremont, grandchildren: Brittney, Jovan, Joell, Jersey, Justice, Dé Jonté, Serenity, Sophia, Iris, Jayden, Keyondre, Malikeye; great-grandchildren: Briezanae, Sariyah and Josiah; siblings: Willie Starks of Fremont, J.C. Starks of Chicago, Il, Bernice (Joseph) Taylor of California, Jerry Starks, Helen (Mike) Foos, Shirley (Tracey) Stacey, Sam (Sharie) Starks all of Fremont, He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings James Starks and Daisy Newsome.
Visitation will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Victory Church (VCF) located at 2051 Oak Harbor Rd. Fremont, OH; where funeral services will begin at 1:00P.M., with Pastors Shirley Stacey, Helen Foos and Tracey Stacey officiating. Burial will follow at McGormley Cemetery with military graveside rights by the V.F.W. and American Legion.
