

David Earl Hemminger, 71, of Fremont, passed away at the University of Toledo Medical Center on Monday, October 3, 2016. He was born the son of Al and Dorothy Brunner on July 10, 1945 in Toledo Ohio. David was a former resident of Gibsonburg, Ohio, and graduated from Gibsonburg High School. He later attended Bowling Green State University to study accounting, and started working at Atlas Industries in Gibsonburg, first in production, and later rising to the status of inspector over 40 years of hard work. David was always a skilled mathematician, but, he best demonstrated his skills by always knowing the statistics and scores of his favorite sports teams. He loved the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State, but, he is best remembered as being a diehard Cleveland Indians fan. Not only did David have a passion for sports, but, he was also passionate about his family. He would always put the needs of others above his own, and made sure he never missed his granddaughter’s sporting events.
David is survived by his wife, Karen (Ross) Hemminger, of Fremont, daughter Jackie (Don) Miller, of Fremont, granddaughter, Kristy Chestnutt, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 10, 2016 from 4p.m. to 6p.m. at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A memorial service will begin at 6p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Scott Mauch will be officiating.
In honor of David’s memory, friends and family are invited to wear the colors or jerseys of his favorite sports teams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the SJCC Athletic Department.
