Erasmo "Eddie" Cruz Jr.

Erasmo “Eddie” Cruz, Jr., 56, of Fremont passed away on Monday at the Cleveland Clinic. He was born July 23, 1958 in Fremont, Ohio the son of Erasmo and Filomena (Guerrero) Cruz, Sr. Eddie was a 1977 graduate of Vanguard Vocational School. Eddie was a fabulous cook and shared his talents with the community as owner and operator of Burritos by Erasmito AKA the taco truck, assisted by his longtime companion, Christina Arias. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, playing guitar, watching football and fishing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was an advocate for civil rights and Hispanic and cultural awareness.

Surviving is his mother, daughter: Bonita Weaver of Fremont, OH; Angel Cruz of Fremont, OH; and siblings: Ricardo Cruz of Gibsonburg, OH; Donnie Cruz (Sandra) of Fremont, OH; Marie Elena Roberts of Texas. He was preceded in death by his father and infant son Jose Erasmo.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 29, from 2-4:30P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. Funeral services will begin Friday at 4:30P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Oscar Dominguez (Casa de la Roca-Toledo) and Pastor Silvia Morla (Church of God of Prophesy-Willard) officiating.
