Janet Kwiatkowski

Janet Mary Kwiatkowski, 84, passed away at home on Thursday, May 4, 2017. She was born the daughter of Frank and Coletta (Foos) Karle on June 6, 1932 in Fremont, Ohio. She married Edward M. Kwiatkowski on October 24, 1953 in Fremont, and together they had six children. He preceded her in death on August 12, 1997. Janet worked for Quick Cut knife manufacturing, and enjoyed every part of her 20 year career as a production operator. Once her career as an operator ended, Janet started a new profession as a full-time grandmother and babysitter for all her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her grandkids, and made it a priority to attend every one of their sporting events. She even shared her love of scrapbooking with them by creating and preserving family memories in handmade scrapbooks, which she provided to each of her grandkids. Janet also loved to read and play bingo in her spare time, and she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society.

Surviving are her children; Thomas (Son Hui) Kwiatkowski, of Clyde, OH, Diane (Alan) Kiel, of Kalamazoo, MI, siblings; Jean Kastner, of Findlay, OH, Tony Karle, of Fremont, OH, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 2 step-grandchildren, and 9 great-step-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward, parents, children; Steven, John, Cathy Ann, Jean, and brothers; Jack and Howard Karle.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5pm to 7pm at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A Mass of Resurrection will be Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11:30am with one hour of visiting beginning at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Road, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. Rev. Chris Kardzis will be officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
