Larry David Wolfe, 78, of Sebring, FL passed away Monday, November 28, 2016. Larry was born October 1, 1938 in Fremont, OH to Elery and Rachel (Bartholomew) Wolfe. Larry retired as Captain from the Fremont Police Department in 1991 after 30 years of service and then worked for Sandusky County as a probation and parole officer. He moved to Sebring in 2004. Larry was a member of the ELKS and MOOSE Lodges, and the Fraternal Order of the Police. He enjoyed golfing and traveling. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ursula; children, David Wolfe (Becky) of Lewis Center, OH, Cheryl Piatka (Robert) of Lewis Center, OH, Timothy Wolfe of Plano, TX and Thomas Wolfe (Wendi) of Westerville, OH; sister, Marcia Miller-Hjelle (Tom) Congerville, IL; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home 416 S. Arch St. Fremont, OH on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM with family receiving friends beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the George Croghan Fraternal Order of the Police Lodge #35, 1013 Arlington St, Fremont, OH 43420 or donor’s choice.
