

Marjorie A. Stang, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Heritage Village in Clyde, Ohio. She was born the daughter of Oscar and Gertrude (Nieset) Hoffman on April 19, 1939 in Sandusky, Ohio. Marjorie graduated from Gibsonburg High School in 1957, and went on to earn a degree at Marty Manse College. She became an elementary school teacher for 3rd and 4th grades, and over the years she has taught at Rocky Ridge Public Schools, St. Mary’s in Tiffin, Ohio, and Monroeville Public Schools. In addition to teaching her students, Marjorie enjoyed sewing, painting, and teaching her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Marjorie married Dale Stang on August 15, 1964, and he precedes her in death.
Surviving are her son; Eric Stang, daughter; Charlotte (Michael J. Aman, Jr.), grandchildren; Eric R. Stang, Aaron Aman, sisters; Beatrice Hensel of TN, Sister Angeline Hoffman.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers; Russell and Norman Hoffman.
Visitation will be held from 4pm-7:30pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 with a vigil starting at 6:45pm at Keller-Koch-Chudzinski Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio, 43420.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice and St. Joseph Catholic Church.
