Mary R Gabel

Mary R. Gabel, 76, of Fremont, passed away at Toledo Hospital Tuesday, September 30, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 10, 1938, in Fremont, Ohio the daughter of John P. and Mary E. Dudley. She married David Gabel at St. Mary’s Church in Millersville in 1959, and he preceded her in death. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as reading and playing cards, particularly bridge.

She is survived by children; Kevin (Jody) Gabel of Toledo, Todd (Ann) Gabel of Fremont, Mike (Susi) Gabel of Oak Harbor, Amy (Tim) Tiell of Helena, Nick (Stacey) Gabel of Bowling Green, Beth (Tim Light) Gabel of Fremont; fourteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sister Jean Gonya and brother John Dudley,

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Edna Schade and Dolores Schade, and brothers; Alfred, Bill, Harold, and Richard Dudley.

Calling hours will be Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch St., Fremont, with a vigil service beginning at 7:30 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be Monday, October 6, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church 709 Croghan St, Fremont, OH 43420, with Rev. Michael Zacharias officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to donor’s choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Wonderly and the staff of Valley View Healthcare Center for their wonderful care.
