

Born on September 30, 1967, in Ciudad Insurgentes BCS, Mexico, Alfonso was known for his dynamic and professional voice which marked a prolific career in multimedia spanning several decades.
Alfonso began his career in the mid to late '80s at a radio station on the outskirts of Hanford, CA. His dedication and hard work led him to Merced, CA in the 1990's, where he worked at the Radio Lobo 98.7 FM station. He later moved to Modesto, CA to work at another Spanish language station. The 2000's then brought a new chapter in Alfonso's career at Super Estrella Radio Station in Fresno, and subsequently at Cocola Broadcasting, working for their Spanish TV affiliate, Azteca America.
Beyond his professional life, Alfonso was a passionate individual, known for his love of ham radios, a hobby that he shared with his brother. His call sign was KF6TEG. He cherished weekends spent in the mountains with his brother, exploring the airwaves. Alfonso was also an avid swimmer, often enjoying the tranquility of rivers and lakes, as well as a fervent soccer fan, always supporting the Mexican soccer team during the World Cup.
He was a family man, deeply loved by his sons Victor, Luis Fabian, Juan Antonio, Alfonso Jr., and his grandson, Angelo Joel Vazquez.
Alfonso's driven nature, ability to connect with others, and his extraordinary character left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
