Alice Geraldine Medina

Geri passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Fresno, California, surrounded by her family. She was born in Anaheim, California on February 12, 1932, to parents Filiberto and Ramona Garcia. The family later moved to Malaga, California.

She was married to her Husband Nick for 39 years. They were longtime Selma residents until his passing in 1990. She was a Homemaker and was active in several Selma community groups. She will best be remem- bered for her great love for her family, and the friendships she offered.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nick Medina; her sons, Nicholas and George Medina, grandson Christopher Wells, Brother Tony Garcia, Sister Jessie Alanis.

Geri will be cherished and greatly missed by her surviving family; son, John Medina and his wife Joyce; daughter, Cynthia Wells and her husband Donald; daughter, Anita Medina and her partner Ed Marquez; daughter, Catherine Bustamante and her husband Andy, grandson, Brandon Wells and his wife Melissa, granddaughter, Danielle Marquez, grandsons, Edward Marquez and Marcus Wells; brother, Manuel Garcia; sisters, Esther Marquez, Nadine Moreno and Liz Rodriguez and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Whithurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00 a.m.
