Amelia was born on January 22, 1935 to Gregorio and Ester Moreno in Phoenix, Arizona and she passed away on September 12, 2011 in Fresno at the age of 76. She was a medical nurse assistant for 25 years.
Amelia is survived by her husband, Joseph V. Rubio, children Joseph, Vera, Manuel Rubio, Hope Alvarez, Josephine Gonzales and Lily Chavez, her sister Esther Estrada, brothers, Jesse and Frank Moreno and 26 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Rosalinda Rubio.
Visitation will be held at Lisle Funeral Home on Sunday, September 18, 2011 12:00 pm followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10:30 am. Interment at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
