Andy always excelled in academics and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at California State University, Fresno.
He worked as a biologist prior to starting his 15 year career with the CA Dept. of Fish and Game.
Andy had a passion for reading and the outdoors, and treasured his huge collection of books and dragon memorabilia.
He enjoyed listening to music and playing guitar. His favorite artists included Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden, to name a few.
A heartfelt thank you to Mindy, Chris and Raul for their unconditional love and support.
He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; and his beloved "Pop", Julian.
Andy is survived by his loving mother, Pat; daughter, Talia; brother, David and his wife Norma; nephew, Chris and his wife Carol; nieces, Katie and Alex; his cousins, Raul, Gina and Carlos; and numerous aunts, uncles, and additional family.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8, 2015 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:00 p.m.
