

Angela Buccieri, of Fresno, California passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family and under the loving and attentive care of the Nazareth House to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 27, 2024, at the age of 86.
Angela was born on May 20, 1938 in Gioia Del Colle, Italy to Vito and Francesca Angelillo. She grew up in Italy and in January 1958 Angela along with her family immigrated to the United States and made Fresno, California their home. This is where she would eventually meet and marry the love of her life Albert M. Buccieri Jr. in 1962.
Angela was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and her generous spirit. Her home was always a welcoming place with the aroma of her delicious Italian cooking. A large part of Angela’s summers were spent at the family cabin entertaining family and friends. She was well known in the community for being a talented seamstress and a savvy bingo player. Angela was an active member of St. Anthony’s of Padua Church.
She is survived by her children, daughter Gina Buccieri Harrington, her son Albert Buccieri III and wife Corinne Buccieri, grandchildren, Lexi Harrington and Gianni Buccieri, brother Phil Angelillo and wife Donna Angelillo, brother-in-law Tony Sportelli, and her loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert M. Buccieri Jr., daughter Palma Buccieri Lockwood, and her sister Maria Sportelli.
A Rosary will be held at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass on August 9, 2024 at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E Nees Ave Fresno, CA 93720. Immediately following the service a private entombment will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
