Angelina Martinez, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 2, 2025. At the time of her passing she was surrounded by her 5 children, their life partners and immediate family members.
Angelina was born on August 2, 1932, in King City, CA to Florentino Rodriguez and Maria Isabel Lopez. Angelina attended school in San Jose and eventually moved to Fowler when she was a teenager. She married Antonio (Tony) Martinez on December 28, 1952, in Fowler, CA at St. Lucy’s Catholic Church.
In the 1960’s, Angelina and her husband Tony were two of the original parishioners at the current St. Lucy’s Catholic Church. She was a devout catholic and continued to serve the church in many capacities. She was always supportive and loving to her family and friends.
Her interests included family outings, traveling to Virginia and New York City, listening to music, sewing, attending school events for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She prayed daily for her family and friends. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her immediate family members.
Angelina is survived by her 5 children Tony, Mary (Liz), Cathy, Gino and Ross and their life companions, Estela, Alex and Lisa; 12 grandchildren Issac, Lisa, Jennifer, Daniel, Patrick, Sydnee, Rossi, Ryan, Ava, Tisa, Brandy, Alex (Jammer) and their life companions, Alex, Anna, Najib, David and Rick and 18 great-grandchildren Sebastian, Nolan, Zack, Ethan, Chris, Vincent, Vanessa, Nathan, Ava, Mia, Ellie, Chloe, George, MiRick, Harrison, Samantha, Amy and Giovanni.

A visitation for Angelina will be held Monday, May 12, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Monday, May 12, 2025 at 5:00 PM, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St Lucy's Catholic Church, 512 S 5th St, Fowler, CA 93625. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Fowler Cemetery District, 8523 S Fowler Ave, Fowler, CA 93625.
Serving as pallbearers are Issac Pereschica, Patrick Martinez, Daniel Moreno, Rossi Martinez, Ryan Martinez, Sebastian Pereschica, Vincent Reyes, Nathan Reyes, Zachary Chagoya, Nolan Pereschica, Ethan Chagoya and Christopher Chagoya.
