Born on December 27, 1969, to parents Gloria Hernandez Hidalgo and Alfred Hidalgo, Jr. She went to pre-school in Fresno, attended Fort Miller Jr High School and Kerman High School. She left to the Los Angeles area and later returned. She married Rick and had her lovely son Drew H. Blake. She began working in various jobs in the valley. She also began taking college courses. She worked at Workforce Investment Board for a few years. She was charged with coordinating meetings for Business, Labor and Public sector leaders.
She attended and graduated from the Fresno Police Department Explorer Program and considered a career in law enforcement.
In 2007 she decided to move to LA for better job opportunities. She began working at Valley Presbyterian Hospital in Van Nuys. On or about 2010, she transferred to Little Company of Mary hospital, also known as Providence, in Torrance where she met Sean, her fiancé. Later they acquired their pet, Beagles. She loved her Beagles Toby, Barney, and her cat Paloma very much.
In 2017, she landed her “dream job" at Cedar Sinai hospital in Beverly Hills. She was so happy that she was working at such a prestigious hospital. Cedar Sinai is considered #1 in the state and #2 in the country. She was an executive assistant to a few VIP doctors at Cedars. She enjoyed working with her team and along with Dr. Green.
In 2019, Anna was diagnosed with cancer. Our hope and prayers were that she, being such a strong lady and fighter along with the best level of care from Cedar’s she would beat this nasty disease. But the Lord had other plans for her. She succumbed to cancer on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Anna is preceded by her grandparents Jennie and Jose M. Hernandez, Virginia and Alfredo Hidalgo Sr. Uncles, Alfonso, Country Joe, George and Aunts Maria Louisa and Rosa (Rosita) and a few cousins.
She is survived by her son, Drew H. Blake and significant other, Shea; her mother, Gloria Cantu (Eddie); her father, Alfred Hidalgo, Jr. (Enedina); her brother, Michael Hidalgo (Lisa); sisters, Brittany and Stefani Hidalgo. She is survived by her closest Aunt Esther and cousin George Hernandez.
In addition to immediate family, she is survived by 9 Aunts and 3 Uncles and numerous cousins predominantly in the central valley.
Our lovely Anna will be sorely missed by all of us. She was always so energetic and had an infectious laugh. Our memories of her shall never fade or end. Rest in peace our dearest Anna. May the good Lord bless you and be with you always.
With all our Love, your family
