In the years following high school graduation, her life was intertwined with raising her daughters, a love of color and style and a steadfast devotion to God.
Artis excelled as an Interior Designer, volunteered for the Red Cross as a Grey Lady, served as PTA President, and also became a Realtor. After moving to Fresno, she conducted surveys for the United States Health Dept.
She spent decades helping those in need of guidance and spiritual strength. She loved people, her friends, her family, and the Lord.
Artis was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and two brothers.
Artis is survived by her daughters, Laurie Jensch and her husband John of Orlando and Cynthia Howerton and her husband Todd of Fresno. She is also survived by her grandsons, Zane Jensch and husband Jason, Blake Howerton, and Grant Howerton and his wife Amelia; and great-grandson, Reef Howerton.
A Memorial Service to honor her will be at Peoples Church, G.L. Johnson Chapel, on Friday, August 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
