August Schmidt

He was born January 6, 1921 in Fresno, CA. to the late (parents' names). Augie graduated from Edison High School where he excelled as an athlete, participating in tract, baseball, basketball, and football. During World War II, he served as a signalman for the Coast Guard in the South Pacific. After the war, he worked for PG&E for 37 years. In retirement, he enjoyed deep sea fishing, golf, and supporting his favorite teams. He was a die-hard 49ers and Giants fans and almost never missed one of their games.

Augie is preceded in death by his wife Anne, brother Herman, and sisters Katie and Freida.

He is survived by his son David Shenson and his wife Brooke, his daughter Judy Millar, and his grandchildren Tara Smith, Mark Shenson, Ross and Allison Millar, and Leah Steadman.

A Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Wednesday, December 3 from 1:00-5:00 PM.

Graveside service will be at Belmont Memorial Park on Thursday, December 4 at 10:00 AM.
