She graduated January of 1943, from Fresno Tech High, attended Fresno City College and Four “C’s”. Bernice was a Classified Supervisor for the Fresno Bee Newspaper. She became self-employed as Bernice’s Secretarial Service at the Helm Bldg., from 1969-1986.
Bernice was also a Charter member of Women’s Trade Club; Member of Women’s Chamber of Commerce and American Historical Society of Germans from Russia.
She was predeceased by Volga German parents Carl and Mary Brase, sister Molly Henderon, brothers George, Henry Edward Brase and husband Charles R. Dixon.
Bernice is survived by nephews Richard Brase, of Clovis, CA; Stanley Brase, of Peoria, AZ; Brad Brase, of Wakarusa, KS; niece Mary Millar, of Clovis, CA and their spouses, their children and her beloved Miniature Toy Poodle “Mimi”.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, 202 N. Teilman Ave, Fresno, CA 93706 at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024
