There are so many stories I can tell about my grandpa. I could go on for days on the times he would take me to work with him on the weekends, teaching me how to build a fence or how to install a new faucet but those stories couldn’t be told without my grandpa because it was he who taught me how to tell a story. Such a powerful and transcendent gift he bestowed upon me and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. There was nothing like sitting with him in bed, his leg propping the sheet up to make a tent, and just listening to him tell stories for all the live long day. The best part is you could hear the same story ten times and it might always be just a little different while maintaining the heart and humor that was unique to my grandpa. There was such a charm to the way he laughed. My grandpa never faked faked it. He was so full of love and joy when sharing his stories. They say the first thing you lose when someone passes is the sound of their voice, but I know that laugh will never leave me.. and neither will he. My grandpa shall live on now and forever in his stories... his friends... his laugh.... and in myself. I promise to always keep you in my heart grandpa. My original storyteller. My idol. My hero. You are loved. Thanks for the laughs.., the cries... and everything in between. May you Rest In Peace and power.
Until next time,
Eli Fuller

Bill Fuller, a true original, one of our California cousins. When we were young teens, my younger sister, two of our Kansas cousins, and I drove with Uncle Joubert and Aunt Myrt one hot summer from Kansas to Fresno to spend part of the summer with them. Bill, along with Jack and Mabel and Ronald, made our visit memorable, including a trip to San Francisco and camping in Yosemite. Some of our brothers also spent time with the Fuller family when they were stationed in the military in California.
Bill had such a joyous spirit, always emphasizing the positive aspects of people and life in general. His easy-going, relaxed style was infectious. His laugh was memorable. I can hear it now.
What an endearing man.

Uncle bill you where unique man
You always had long talks with me and shared your stories witch was great inspiration
You where the building block of America
And your stories where the facts of what you did for this country

I remember the summers I came to your home
They where great memories as a child
I remember you let me beat you in arm wrestling when I was young
Now as a adult you where doing it to give me a strength as a young man
Your laughs echo in my memories
Now remembering you always and forever
Let the Great creator welcome you

This is what Mr. Bill Fuller would like us to know.
I GIVE YOU THIS ONE THOUGHT TO KEEP
I AM WITH YOU STILL ,I DO NOT SLEEP .
DO NOT STAND BY MY GRAVE AND CRY
I AM NOT THERE, I DO NOT SLEEP.
I AM A THOUSANDS WINDS,THAT BLOW.
I AM THE DIAMOND , THAT SHINES UPON THE SNOW.
I AM THE SUNLIGHT ON RIPENED GRAIN.
I AM THE GENTLE AUTUMN RAIN.
WHEN YOU AWAKEN IN THE MORNING HUSH
I AM THAT SWIFT UPLIFTING RUSH, OF QUIET BIRDS IN CIRCLED FLIGHT
I AM THE SOFT STAR ,THAT SHINES AT NIGHT .
DO NOT THINK OF ME AS GONE
I AM WITH YOU STILL ,IN EACH NEW DAWN
DO NOT STAND BY MY GRAVE AND CRY
I AM NOT THERE , I DID NOT DIE.

I can’t begin to express how sad we are by the passing of Bill. He taught us so much and was such a good friend to my dad. The first time we went to San Francisco, he took us. He taught my sister how to drive. He played baseball with us in the street after work and I know he was so tired but he never said no. He was a true friend. Love you Bill.

Uncle Bill, I will always remember the summer I stayed with you, Aunt Evelyn and Susan so fondly.
When you came home from work you were so happy to see Susan and I. You made me feel so welcomed and loved in a place far from home. You had a way of cheering us up and that’s a difficult task with teenage girls.
I love you so much. Rest In Peace on the other side of the veil.

Uncle Bill, The world will not be the same without you in it. You always made time for me and my sister, Sharon, even when you were exhausted or had other commitments. You always made me laugh, always had a smile ready, always ready to spoil me, especially when Mom wasn't looking. I know you are still there, watching from above, shaking your head at our lives, and laughing it up with Daddy and Uncle Jack. You three are together again with Gramma and Grandpa. I love you always.
