Brenda Joyce Cottingham, 73 of Fresno, California, passed away on November 6, 2025. Born on March 20, 1952, Brenda brought light, laughter, and love wherever she went. She had a gift for turning everyday moments into something special. Whether she was playing piano in church, sharing stories with her book club, laughing over a good hand of cards, or showing her luck on the slots, Brenda did it all with joy and a mischievous sparkle in her eye. She loved to dance and to share life's little secrets, always adding a touch of warmth and fun to every gathering.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Bruce Cottingham, daughter, Shannon Bonin and significant other Les Watson, son, Donovan Bonin and wife Amy and stepdaughter Aimee Neithinger and husband Carl. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Shaylene Riffel and significant other Casey Scheideman, Brett Bonin and wife Ezmeralda and Kyle Bonin and significant other Nickele Mainarick and her treasured great-grandchild, Viktor Bonin.
She is also survived by her brother, Norman Belt and wife Nancy, nieces, Normandie Barrena and Cara Belt and cousin Desiree VanLeuvan.
Brenda's warmth, laughter and love of life touched everyone who knew her. She had a beautiful way of bringing people together and reminding them how wonderful it is to simply share time, laughter and love. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her.
A celebration of Brenda's life will be held at a later date.
