Cathy Elaine Ponte

Cathy graduated from Kerman High School in 1965, and married her high school sweetheart, Manual Ponte, Jr. They were married for 52 years. Cathy worked at The Kerman News, and then spent 33 years in banking, most recently at Central Valley Community Bank. She was dedicated to her role as the Vice President Executive Administrative Assistant/Corporate Secretary.

Cathy loved to shop and enjoyed her annual shopping trips to San Francisco. Cathy was a strong, generous, and joyful woman who will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank the staff at Clovis Community Medical Center; and Dr. Christopher Perkins and his staff at California Oncology for their care and support.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernie Miller; brother, Stephen Miller; and infant son, Jeffrey Ponte.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Manuel Ponte, Jr.; son, Brian Ponte and wife Erin; mother, Wanda Miller; granddaughter, Madison Ponte; sister-in-law, Diane Miller; niece, Kristin Lucas and husband Clint; nephew, Michael Miller and wife Suzanne; and four great-nieces and nephews.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kerman, CA, on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kerman, CA, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to California Oncology of the Central Valley; or Valley Children's Hospital.
