Janet was born in Missouri on December 7, 1933 and died in Fresno, CA on September 21, 2024. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Kerman where she lived the bulk of her life.

She was an educator in the Kerman Unified and Golden Plains School Districts. More importantly, she was a wife, mother, grandmother, gardener, traveler, and lifelong learner. After attending Fresno State and starting her career, she met and married Jim Seay.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Hallie Roup, and her brother Joe Roup. She will be missed by her loving husband Jim, sons Jeff and Greg (Tess), daughter Mary Anne (Kim), and granddaughters Eva and Hallie Seay. She is also survived by sisters Mary Lou Roup and Elena Perez, brother Louie Roup (Darlene), and many beautiful in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to the Marjaree Mason Center in Fresno or the charity of your choosing.

A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 at 12:00 PM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 15437 W Kearney Blvd, Kerman, CA 93630.
