Craig Weaver, 79, of Fresno, California, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1946, in San Diego, California, and lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.
Craig will be remembered for his generous spirit, steady wisdom, and his love of the outdoors—especially fishing. Whether casting a line in quiet anticipation or telling stories about the “one that got away,” he found joy in the simple rhythm of the water. This year alone, Craig enjoyed two memorable fishing trips, treasured times filled with laughter, patience, and shared peace.
Craig was a proud 26-year veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring with the distinguished rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He served his country honorably in Operation Desert Storm. Outside of his military service, Craig enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, attending cruises with his partner Karen, cheering on the Raiders every football season, and decorating his home for any holiday or Raiders football season.
He is preceded in death by his brother Richard, mother Lajuanda, father Wallace, grandson Maxwell, and wife Judith.
Craig is survived by his daughters Tiffany Bitner, Tara Ochoa, Taya Garrison (Joshua Garrison), and Bobbie Olivarria (Juan Olivarria); his partner Karen Burnett; grandchildren Devan, Lauren, Krystle, Jeremey, Peyton, Paxton, Isabel, and Korben; and great granddaughters Austin and Lajuanda. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will carry his memory forward.
