David was born on November 8, 1946, in Fresno CA. He graduated from McLane High School class of 1964. David worked as a forklift mechanic for many years and ultimately retired after working as a Mac Tools salesman in the late 1980s. He had a great love for all things outdoors in his younger years (e.g. skiing, camping, hiking), as well as a passion for racing that included building race cars with his best friend Ernie. David was also a diehard Fresno State Football fan and had a love of animals, taking in any stray that found him.
David is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 54 years, Janet Sharp, his father Arvel Sharp, his mother Iva Sharp, and his brother Johnny Sharp.
David is survived by his daughter, Jennifer A. Jameson and her husband Brent of Fresno, CA, and his daughter Janice L. LeGay and her husband Nathan of Antioch, CA. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Devin (Cathrine) Jameson, Nicholas Perry, Austin (Laurel) Jameson, David (Hannah) LeGay, and Richard Plummer; four great grandsons, and three great granddaughters. David also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Andrew Sharp and wife Roxann.
