Dayle Schmiederer

Dayle Schmiederer, a dedicated wife, mother, sister, friend, and grandmother, passed away on March 25th, 2023. She was 81 years old. One would describe her as being calm yet passionate, strong yet tender, honest and kind. She had great style and a beautiful smile.

Dayle was the daughter of Ruby and Frank Coit , born in Fresno, California. She spent her younger years in Carmel with her mother and three siblings. In 1949, they moved to Oakland. Losing her mother at a young age, Dayle was raised by her grandfather, "Gramps” and her step grandmother, "Nana V”. As a family, they would summer in Inverness where Dayle enjoyed spending her days sailing and winning races as well as fishing with her younger brother, Bill. She attended San Jose State where she met the love of her life, Jim, who was attending Santa Clara University at the time. They married and moved to Southern California where they started a family. Dayle devoted her life to her husband and raising her 3 children - always present and supportive. Following the death of her father, Jim and Dayle moved to Fresno to help with the family farming business where she lived for the remainder of her life. Positive living, health, and strengthening her faith were her greatest passions. Naturally competitive, she was a strong tennis and bridge player. Dayle also enjoyed volunteering at school fund raisers and the Holiday Boutique where her creative eye was much appreciated. Becoming a grandmother at a young age, Dayle was able to form special bonds with each of her 8 grandchildren. She took the time to travel with them to Europe, National Parks and historical landmarks , sharing her love of history and nature.

Dayle will forever live in the hearts of her family and friends. She is survived by her brother, William Coit and his wife Kathy, her three children , Jeff Schmiederer and his wife Sharolyn, Kendra Bullock and her husband Anthony, Krista Peltereau Villeneuve and her husband Francois-Xavier as well as her eight grand children, Antoine Peltereau-Villeneuve, Taylor Schmiederer, Stephane Peltereau -Villeneuve, Kilina Peltereau-Villeneuve, Blake Schmiederer, Chanel Bullock, Hannah Schmiederer and Christina Bullock.
