Delfina Cervantes passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, surrounded by her loved ones.
Della was born to Alphonso and Martha Pacheco on August 8, 1924 in New Mexico and came to Fresno in 1943. Della graduated from High School and went on to Cosme- tology School. She worked in the family Beauty Salon with her sister Corinna and Lili.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brothers, Alphonso, Jr. and Albert Pacheco.
Della is survived by her husband, Jess of 53 years; her daughter, Diane and her husband Frank; stepchildren, Linda and Walter Jusino, Jess Jr. and partner Jack, Janet and Lynette and Danny Vickers; grandchildren, Nicole and Mike Flores, and Shelly and Tom Burrows; and great-grandchildren, Eric, Ashley, Emily and Brianna Flores and Cierra Fowler. She is also survived by sisters, Sara Flores, Corinna Cesena, Frances Villegas and Lili Lovitt; brothers, Charles and Jerry Pacheco; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home, on Monday, June 24, 2013, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
